
Program Information
The MBA specializing in Environmental Business Management is geared toward professionals who wish to be a part of a team who are interested in understanding environmental issues, analyzing and acting in an environmentally pro-active way when making decisions about policy, production and resource utilization. As well as completing the usual core MBA subjects, students will learn from the experts in the environmental field, including, United Nations, World Bank, and internationally recognized private sector experts from around the world and be trained with special skills to handle different environmental issues from a business perspective. The program covers current and future compliance needs while helping business managers establish a competitive edge.
Program Format
The Environmental MBA program begins in August 2007. This is a customized program which can be completed in 24 months. The courses are taught one weekend a month at the City of Knowledge in Panama City, Republic of Panama and through distance learning (internet, video conferencing, etc.), saving travel time to and from class while utilizing full-time FAU professors and experts in the business/environmental field. Students usually take two courses (six credit hours) every four months.

Faculty and Staff
The faculty is comprised mainly of full time College of Business professors with many years of teaching and research experience. Experts in the environmental management field are brought in from the United Nations, Organization of American States, World Bank and private sector environmental managers. A staff of administrators is on site during class meetings to assist students on the weekends.
International Accreditation
The Environmental MBA program is internationally accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Fewer than 450 business schools worldwide have obtained AACSB International accreditation at this level. The Environmental MBA is the first of its kind in the State of Florida and Panama, and one of a select few in the United States.
Payment Plan
Tuition is paid by installments. Students are required to submit an initial $1000 non-refundable program deposit to guarantee a seat in the class. The balance of the tuition is paid monthly based on the number of credit hours enrolled in the term. Most terms consist of 6 credit hours. Employer-sponsored student payment can be directly billed to employers.
